I haven't commented on his thoughts because I've been busy. It is ok to comment on the show with what you thought without it bashing AAW. We are open to peoples thoughts on the show whether they liked it or didn't.
Here's what Justamark wrote me:
"I was rather disappointed with the show...I didn't wanna post this on the site to give you guys bad press or anything but was hoping more people would respond so i could get a feel for some of the other matches and what they thought before i chalked it up as a bad show in my mind.
It just seemed like their were far too many guys that really don't belong in a wrestling ring (size wise and ability). I was really lookin forward to Sabin/Shelly vs. York/Matthews but that match was rather bland.
I really think AAW is also dropping the ball not utilizing Rican, Stone, & Craig correctly. All three of these guys could be major players, but guys like Krotch get more high profile matches.
Rican is a much better wrestler than this Krotch kid who for some reason seems to be a fan favourite. Flannery seems to be a crowd favourite in MSPW and that's another thing i don't understand. People seem to latch onto guys that they recognize as oppossed to liking someone that has actual talent.
Only food at the concession stand seemed to be pizza...nothing was advertised so either i was spose to ask and didn't or missed a sign.
I do like how the bar area is more accessible by not pulling seats all the way back to the wall. And i still enjoy the promos on the screen building up the feuds. I just expected better quality matches and this particular show i didn't get it.
Does AAW have plans of bringin Nigel McGuiness back soon or maybe Delirious?
p.s. - I'm not using this particular show as a basis for how i feel about AAW, i should attend a few more i think, but this one was kinda disappointing."

Can I put in my two cents on this??
You have to remember that guys like Tony Rican, Hardcore Craig and Steve Stone have not been in AAW for that long. They need time for the crowd to get really familiar with them. Just like Krotch. He has been in AAW for a while now, and he was just one of those guys that the crowd got behind all of a sudden. He's like Sugarfoot of ROH. You gotta give it up to someone like Krotch who may not be the best worker, but damnit to hell the boy is entertaining. He's had 2 really entertaining matches lately with Silas Young and Jerry Lynn.
As far as the matches, I thought all of them were pretty solid. The tag title match had a slow build, but picked up rather quick. Tyler Black v. Austin Aries was also a great match that just flowed really well, and of course the TLC match was off the charts. Of course, not everyone is gonna like every match. And like I said, I really hope more people start using guys like Absolute Answer. They are learning SO quick. I'd also keep my eye on guys like Knight Wagner too.

I just don't know how anybody doesn't root for Krotch? It's clear that he's got some wrestling skills but his size and his lack of confidence hurts him. But he gives it his best shot and the crowd really gets behind him. It's not like Krotch beat Silas Young with a top rope exploder or anything. He's a better Mikey Whipwreck than Mikey Whipwreck was, imo.

How dare you compare Krotch to Sugarfoot. Krotch does his best and all, but Sugarfoot is all types of awesome.
As for justamark's comments, AAW uses few guys who lack lots of ability. I agree in building Stoney up in singles and turning him into a player. I thought they would have done that by now, because AAW likes to use plenty of guys who were singles stars in IWA-MS.

justamark I want you video on the bottom..... say the word and it shall be done...let me know when you put it in as your signature and i'll delete it on mine. Can I put in my two cents on this?? You have to remember that guys like Tony Rican, Hardcore Craig and Steve Stone have not been in AAW for that long. They need time for the crowd to get really familiar with them. All 3 of them wrestle for multiple promotions. The average AAW fan doesn't have their head in the sand and just go to AAW. They attend multiple shows in the area...they aren't ROHbots. I find it hard to believe that people wouldn't have heard of these guys. Wasn't the whole reason these guys all decided to come together in AAW was that AAW was gonna run outta Highwood hence having two areas and can showcase their large roster in two diffrent areas to get exposure out of the guys they wish to push? So what happend to that whole plan? I can't speak for Rican, Stone and Craig as i do not know their personal feelings, but if i was them and AAW was utilizing me in this way after i left a fed that was using me "correctly", I'd feel rather besmirched. But what do i know...I'm just a mark.

There wasn't anything bad, just your opinions on the show. I'm not mad because you didn't like it. You should have just posted your thoughts and discussion of the show would have taken off instead of waiting for others to comment on the show. It seems like you're waiting for someone to crap on the show and then join the band wagon. I understand you like Rican, Craig, and Stone. All three are really good talents. Rican is doing a ton of work for AAW that nobody even knows about and we are glad to have him on board. Craig and Steve are a solid tag team but need to be exposed to our crowd a little more. I will disagree with you on our fans knowing who everyone is. Our fans don't warm up to new faces for about 6-8 months. That is why we have a preshow. I'm sorry you drove to Berwyn to see three guys that weren't even advertised for the show and actually got to see them perform.

All 3 of them wrestle for multiple promotions. The average AAW fan doesn't have their head in the sand and just go to AAW. Actually, I rarely ever see a cross section of fans from different promotions. It's getting better but most AAW fans don't go elsewhere. You sure don't act like just a mark. If you were just a mark you wouldn't give a sh*t about insider crap like why people came into a fed and for what business reason.

The two of you make it sound like the AAW fans just come to AAW shows and that's it. Funny but i reminisced with about 5 people i see at other feds and also saw another 10 at least that i seen in other feds. But whatever, that's not even the issue.
The fact of the matter is, I didn't come out just to see Rican, Stone, and Craig. I was commenting on one aspect of the show that i didn't like. But if you guys really can't take constructive criticism, well that's a problem you have not me.
Basically, to me the pros did not outweight the cons to me.
It also kinda makes me laugh that people can post that a match was really solid when it really wasnt. a few people on here commented how "solid" the match was between Sabin/Shelly and York/Matthews but the funny thing is those people were all AAW employees. So what, AAW can afford to do video promos. The truth is production doesn't make good wrestling...the wrestling does.
Feel free to discredit any of my remarks or comments...

I've always had the understanding that a lot of the fans at AAW are just fans off the street from the local area with some more well-traveled fans mixed in. AAW isn't just one style of wrestling or entertainment, it's really a melting pot of all the different aspects of the business you've seen over the years. Krotch is a skinny underdog kid and he knows how to use that gimmick to more effectively get over with a crowd. What more is there to say? Some guys can get over better than others whether they have the ability to wrestle better or not. Who knows how many times you've heard WWE crowds chant for guys you can't stand? AAW use it to their advantage. If you don't like him, I guess that's a good time to go grab some pizza or grab a beer.

one mans garbage is another mans treasure.. you complained about people saying they enjoyed the show.. and your trying to criticize them for saying that... well maybe they enjoyed the show.. just because you didnt doesnt mean they cant.
krotch is someone that has dedicated himself. taken what cards were dealt to him physically and run with them. hes a damn good bump machine and one hell of a nice guy. if hes over then he should be pushed because obviously the fans love to see him. and i'm sure aaw will continue to listen to the other 150-200 fans instead of catering to one.

It's a shame that I came all the way to Berwyn to see Rican, Craig and Stone and they are thrown in a 10 man tag pre match" " And now.................. The fact of the matter is, I didn't come out just to see Rican, Stone, and Craig. Come on dude. I'm sorry you didn't think the wrestling on the show was good. I thought Aries vs Black and the TLC match were excellent. Yes I work for the company but those matches were excellent. Maybe AAW is just not your thing and there's nothing wrong with that. To each their own.

I thought Aries vs Black and the TLC match were excellent. Yes I work for the company but those matches were excellent. Maybe AAW is just not your thing and there's nothing wrong with that. To each their own. The key word here is "just"...i came out to see Rican, STone and Craig...but not "just" to see them. I was very interested in seeing the Aries/Black match which didn't disappoint me at all and i think that was the match of the evening. The TLC match was also very good and i was pleased very much with that. Joey Eastman is right by saying that the Phoenix Twins are the tag team of the future and i couldn't agree with him more. Priest put on a good match as well as he never disappoints and I also got to see a tad bit of Dereck St Holmes who i think is a great performer in the midwest. I think overall my biggest disappointment was the Sabin/Shelly vs York/Matthews match. I've seen Sabin do some great things on the indy scene as well as on TNA (no i don't mean just high spots) but some great manuevers and some cool tag work and i was lookin forward to seeing what he could do with Shelly and i just was not impressed, and it was a let down. One big problem that i do have is that MSPW constantly gets criticized for hiring small guys that people say don't belong in the business and what really burned my a$$ about my trip to AAW was basically more skinny guys involved in that card then i have ever seen in MSPW. Jimmymack - I'll most likely see you on the 27th as i am 70% for that show...possibly in costume. The Jimmy/Jimmy connection will be in full effect then. ;D Kindergarten - good seeing you again, hope we can chat more at the next show we both are at. MPKTO - You sir, are an not a very nice person.
