Thanks to everyone that came to the show on 10-13-07 at Industrial Studio. The crowd was hot, but the VWAA action was hotter!! C–Red and his entourage started things off by telling everyone exactly what went down between him and Cheeks Manson. (Just a business dinner I’m told.) Apparently, C-Red wanted to buy a “by” in the upcoming VWAA tag-team tournament and arranged a cash deposit in the Manson bank account if they would simply tell C-Red and the “VIP Family” where and when Atlas would be located. Seeing that Atlas & the Manson’s really never gelled as a team, the choice was simple, for Cheeks Manson. C-Red found The Demon of Damen exactly where Cheeks had said he would be and the VIP Family made sure that Atlas would not be able to wrestle in the VWAA for some time, let alone make it to the VWAA tag-team tournament on November 9th in Orland Park. The plan had worked, but apparently The Mad Dog Ivan Manson had nothing to do with the plot and seemed rather upset that his chance for VWAA gold had been stripped away so simply. As a result, Ivan Manson signed an open VWAA contract that had Willie Richardson’s name all over it.
MATCH #1 Ben Cruise - vs - Ovirload
The opening match made the statement that the rest of the night was going to be rough and exciting! Johnny Wild must really have found Ben Cruise’s dark spot because the former super-hero was more villain than ever before. Ben Cruise got the pin on Ovirload using his feet on the corner ropes for leverage. This was Ben Cruise’s first single’s win in the VWAA and with Wild at his side helping him sport his new heel attitude; Ben Cruise may see many more. WINNER: Ben Cruise
MATCH #2 Groundskeeper Lopez - vs - The Urban Beast Dameon Dunn
As usual, Michael Lopez had to undergo a verbal bashing by the mouth of Studd Muffin J.J. Valiant before the start of this match. To make matters worse, Valiant made his Groundskeeper hold the ring ropes open for every member of The VIP Family including his opponent Dameon Dunn. The crowd was thoroughly, and loudly, behind Lopez in this one and cheered him ceaselessly. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, Lopez succumbed to the veteran skills of Dameon Dunn and was pinned and then further berated. WINNER: Dameon Dunn
MATCH #3 Backwoods Brown -vs - Jordan Pryde
Backwoods started this contest off by attacking Pryde before he even made it through the ropes and continued that level of beating for most of the match. What Brown lacks in wrestling skill, he makes up for in size and brute force. To add to Jordan’s up-hill battle, Ben Cruise & Johnny Wild came down to ringside to verbally assault the newly lone super-hero and then went on to distract referee BobbyJ. Luckily, Backwoods wanted no part of Johnny Wild or Ben Cruise and ran them out of the arena with a few choice words of his own. The rule-breaking onslaught on Jordan didn’t end as Brown constantly attacked Pryde’s eyes. In the end, that actually cost Backwoods Brown the match. Jordan Pryde went for a swig from his bottle of water, but since he was partially blinded, that bottle turned out to be Brown’s bottle of Jack Daniels. Not knowing Brown was right in front of him, Pryde spit the whiskey out of his mouth directly in the face of Brown. It was blind man versus blind man but Pryde triumphed with the pin on Backwoods Brown. WINNER: Jordan Pryde
MATCH #4 Mad Dog Ivan Manson – vs – The Urban American Dream Willie Richardson
Ivan Manson was the one wrestler in the VWAA locker room that was willing to take on a member of The VIP Family for the open contract match. Surely this came as a surprise to C-Red since he & Cheeks Manson had recently shared business, nonetheless, the match was signed and it was clear from the start of the match that there are problems in the Manson family. Traditionally Cheeks Manson always removes Ivan’s dog collar at the start of each of his matches, but this time she brushed off the task and took a place outside the ring leaving Ivan open for an attack from Willie. Willie relentlessly beat and dragged Ivan around the ring with his own chain. When the collar was finally removed, Ivan began to come back on Willie, but just as he did, Cheeks left the arena making sure Ivan took notice of her leaving. This distraction gave Willie control of the match and just when the defeat of Ivan Manson was in his grasp, Team KO came down to the ring with a couple of chairs and decided to watch the match in progress close up. C-Red was livid & Willie turned his focus away from Ivan. In that split second, Ivan managed to get a stunner on Willie as well as the pin that followed. WINNER: Mad Dog Ivan Manson
MATCH #5 Juggalo J-City – vs – The Urban Gladiator Trauma
It is well known that C-Red and the Valiants are close friends. That friendship is what landed C-Red the role of Referee for this match. If that sounds crooked to you then you should have seen the match! J-City didn’t have a chance. As much as he tried, the deck was stacked against him. Many of his moves rightfully should have gained him a three count victory, but carpal tunnel was the reason C-Red couldn’t finish the count on most of J-City’s pin attempts. (He didn’t seem to have a problem when it was an attempt from Trauma.) Eventually, and expectedly, Trauma finished J-City off for the pin, but not until C-Red laid a slap on J-City. C-Red raised Trauma’s hand, but referee BobbyJ hit the ring claiming that C-Red forfeited his referee status the second he attacked a wrestler and awarded the match to J-City. Things got further out of control when Studd Muffin came down to the ring and re-awarded the match to Trauma. BobbyJ was head referee for the night, but J.J. Valiant is part owner of the VWAA and it seems that Valiant’s decision is the one going in the record book. WINNER: Trauma
BATTLE ROYAL WINNER: Michael Lopez
This one will be available on DVD asap. It will have commentary as well as a few interviews & promos not seen by the fans at the show. I personally want to thank the fans and their support, especially at this show. It was great!!! We look forward to seeing everyone on the 27th.
