The second biggest crowd in PWP history was on hand to witness Year of the Phoenix III. It was standing room only as the fans continued to file in as we kicked off the action!
1) The LONRs beat The Pride and The Passion to win the PWP Tag Team Titles, hitting a sick spike piledriver on Tyler for the win. Afterwards Zac attacked Tyler, and dragged Deidre away with him.
2) Leslie Ray beat Preston Maxwell
Sean Cruz let everyone know how disgusted he is with the fans and how he has been treated lately and that when his injury heals, we would be seeing a new "Sensational" Sean Cruz.
3) Donnie Peppercricket earned the win over Stephen Saint in a SICK bout, afterwards Stephen took his frustrations out on camera-man Darren with a brutal, un-called for attack.
4) Joey Daniels got a HUGE upset on Jaysin Strife.
5) Brett Young defeated Vic Victory.
6) Hype Gotti beat Matty Fitness.
7) "Babyface" Tony Cortez beat Jeremy Wyatt and Abu Colossus to retain the PWP Heavyweight Championship! This began as a 1 on 1 contest between Cortez and Wyatt, when Abu came out and basically entered himself into the match as a 3 way, saying he was tired of people ducking him, and that his time had come. In the end, Jaysin Strife, in an attempt to help his ally Cortez, hit Abu in the back with a chair, which seemed to not even phase the big man, who then proceeded to chase Strife to the back, meanwhile - Cortez blasted Wyatt with the chair and delivered a ddt onto it for the cheap win to retain his title. The reign of Tony Cortez as PWP Champion has now lasted over 17 months, making him by far, the longest reigning champion in company history.
PWP will not miss a beat, as we move forward to saturday March 15th at the Council Bluffs National Guard Armory. Details coming soon!!!
