The Lee sanders Memorial Tournament was a WCPW's biggest crowd to date since returning on a regular basis to The Rowan Park Field-house.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to support us in honoring one of our fallen friends Lee Sanders.
Zom & Faith d. Dameon Dunn & Dymond w/ C-Red
Sam DeCero came out for an in ring interview with WCPW Middleweight Champion Gavin Dunn. But before the he introduced Dunn he made things a little more interesting for the evening, by stating that if any champion was pinned here tonight they would lose their title.
Gavin Dunn then came out and told us he was lucky to still be wrestling after the attack by Curse & Noose last month. He then went on to say this is no longer about titles it's personal
then relinquished his Middleweight title to Sam DeCero & went on to challenge Curse to a career vs career match at Battle of the Belts 20. While handing over the belt to DeCero League Champion Curse's music started to play drawing the attention of Dunn to the entranceway but Curse attacked him from behind trying to finish the job he started a month before. Out of nowhere Sean Mulligan made the save & the first tournament match of the night was underway.
FIRST ROUND MATCH
Sean Mulligan d Curse to become the new WCPW League Champion.
Mulligan hit the ring to stop Curse's attack on Gavin Dunn, but was met with some boots to the head, but in the blink of an eye the fighting Irishman hit a stunner & a 1-2-3 to become the New WCPW League Champion & move on to the final four of the tournament.
FIRST ROUND MATCH
Silent But Deadly Derik Durton d. Rudo Cortez
Richard T. Sin came to the ring w/his bodyguard Noose to announce his new find, but it wasn't a newcomer at all. It was a re-born Vic Vanity dropping his arrogant & vein persona
& becoming Richard T. Sin's latest monster. Cortez put up a good fight but in the end it was S.B.D. spearing him out of his boots for the 1-2-3.
FIRST ROUND MATCH
Steve Boz d. Gino "Mr. Reality"
Mr. Reality thought he would have an easy win by challenging Boz to a game of Rock-Paper- Scissors instead of a wrestling match. Boz entertained the idea for a short time but ended up super-kicking Gino into a "New Reality" for the pin.
FIRST ROUND MATCH
Acid Jaz d WCPW Bare-knuckles Champion Mike Anthony
This was a hard hitting match, with both men leaving it on the mat. Mike Anthony was tougher than ever tonight sinching in his key-lock submission for a second time, but a quick thinking Jaz used the turnbuckles to flip over Anthony(never releasing the hold) & pinned his shoulders to the mat to become the New Bare-Knuckles Champion & moving to the tournament finals.
Six Man Tag Team Match
The Bangg Gang d. The Rooks & V-Factor
This match nearly stole the show with The Rooks & V-Factor hitting the gang with high flying dives & tandem tag team moves, but in the end the south would rise when Mak Banggs broke the rebel flag across the back of Curtis & pinned him to become the New WCPW Tag Team Champions.
WCPW HeavyweightTitle Match
Vito 2 Fingers d Austin Roberts by DQ.
This match literally was all over the place even ending up in the crowd & children beating Roberts with the rubber chicken. But in the end Roberts wasn't looking for the win he was there to make another example of 2 Fingers the same way he made an example of Rivera at Feb. Fallout.
Just when "2"Fingers was picking up some momentum "The Acumen" hit him with the ken-do for the dq, but it didn't stop there Ken-do stick & chair shots left Fontaine a bloody mess until Sean Mulligan & Acid Jaz made the save. Roberts grabbed the mic. & went on to verbally abuse Mulligan, Jaz, & Fontaine, claiming he is the greatest champ around & challenging League Champ Mulligan & Bare-Knuckles Champ to a unification match at Battle Of The Belts 20 to decide the one and only true WCPW Champion. Mulligan & Jaz both excepted, so our second B.O.B. 20 match was set Roberts vs. Mulligan vs. Jaz. Or was it?
Sanders Memorial Tournament Finals
Steve Boz d. Derick Durton to become the 2008 Sanders Cup Winner
At the last minute it was decided by Sam DeCero that this would be a four corner match allowing each man to tag each other in & the first man to get the pin-fall would be the winner.
In an action packed match it took each man's finishing move to keep down the Richard T. Sins man S.B.D. in the end The B-O-Z got the 1-2-3.
This is where it gets interesting!
In December at Seasons Beating's Steve Boz won a Money In The Bank Battle Royal guaranteeing him a title shot of his choosing anytime, anywhere.
After hearing the challenge by Austin Roberts to the unification Main Event match at B.O.B. 20, Steve then decided to cash in his M.I.B. Title shot & challenged Austin Roberts for the WCPW Heavyweight Title at the April 12 Rowan Park Event.
Can The B-O-Z defeat Roberts to to go on to the main event at B.O.B 20? Or will he be just another victim of The Acumen?
April 12 Rowan Park Field-house already signed:
Six Man Tag Team Re-Match
The New WCPW Tag team Champions The Bangg Gang vs V-Factor & The Rooks
WCPW Heavyweight Title Match
