In front of over 160 extremely lively fans at the Oak Forest Park District, Elite Pro Wrestling presented a show that due to a surprise return was named "Return of a Saint"
New ring announcer Koby Van Vliet introduced new ElitePro Champion Corporal Robinson, who was quickly interrupted by his opponent for the night, Michael Elgin. Words were exchanged which led to the match beginning right then and there...
1) Corporal Robinson defeated Michael Elgin to defend the ElitePro Championship (1st defense)
2) Team Taliban (Mustafa Ali & Jake O'Neil) defeated The Ring Rydas and Sex, Drugs & Wrestling (Ash & Kris Chambers) to earn a future tag team title shot.
Koby Van Vliet called "The Real Deal" Jay Jensen out to announce the stipulations for his match later that night against the ElitePro Dojo's first graduate, Martin Jones. Jensen announced that the match would be a "Bar Room Brawl", meaning there would be no DQ's and pinfalls would count anywhere in the building. Martin came out and told Jensen that he wouldn't be scared to fight Jensen, which resulted in a brawl that was broken up by the locker room.
3) JD Hughes w/Kimberly Kash defeated Brandon Thomaselli to become the new ElitePro World TV Champion after interference from Team Taliban.
4) Jason Hades defeated Vito Thomaselli to defend the IWA MidSouth World Light Heavyweight Title when Sal Thomaselli returned as one of the masked Ring Rydas and attacked Vito.
5) Martin Jones defeated Jay Jensen after a superplex through a piece of guardrail set between two steel chairs.
After the match, Michael Elgin attacked Martin and hit him with a disgusting butterfly piledriver. Elgin took the mic and said that while he and Jensen had come up on the short end of the stick tonight, that he believed that if they joined forces, they could get what they both are looking for - gold around their waist. Jensen agreed and a new tag team in ElitePro was born.
6) Team W.A.R. (Acid & Synn) defeated The Soul Touchaz (Acid Jaz & Marshe Rockett) w/C-Red to defend the ElitePro Tag Team Titles (3rd defense) when Acid hit Acid Jaz with a Spanish Fly.
After the match, Team Taliban attempted to jump Acid, but were thwarted and sent scurrying to the back.
Notes: "Bodacious" Bil Patrick and RUMBLE RADIO's Kevin Kellum supplied the commentary for the show. ElitePro is happy to have Kevin on the team.
ElitePro Heavyweight Champion Corporal Robinson announced that as champion he had negotiated with the ElitePro office to make all of his matches "Juggalo Rules", meaning anything goes and weapons are legal. As Corporal put it, "The refs only job is to count to three after I hit the 'Bootcamp'".
Elite Pro Wrestling will be taking off the month of June and will return to action with our second-ever DOUBLESHOT WEEKEND in July. Dates and location are being finalized this week and announcements concerning the show will be made very soon.
