Squanto got the pin over Poochie Gobble to be the first man to qualify for the Better Than The Best tournament in July.
After a hard fought match, The Amazin Kuan bested Tunica.
Match of the night was Fall in Ruins facing off against VWAA Tag Team Champions, Team Dammitt. Fall in Ruins were an "unexpected" replacement for The Wildside. It turns out that Johnny Wild's transportation for his team had vehicular troubles and were unable to make the event. Fall in Ruins were in the VWAA office asking to be the replacements for The Wildside before anyone even knew of this "unfortunate happening." Regardless, Fall in Ruins put up a great battle for Team Dammitt, but fell short of the victory.
Earlier in the night, a boasting, and soon to be irate, Studd Muffin addressed the crowd. He was patting himself on the back, but when fans took light to his comments, Studd Muffin went ballistic and VERBALLY bashed the audience. It was then that Jordan Pryde could take no more and confronted the members of The Faction who were in the ring. Although he was alone, Pryde stood up to Studd Muffin and his crew and even shard interesting news with them. Pryde's opponent for the night, current VWAA Champion Mad Dog Ivan Manson, would be unable to wrestle against Pryde for the qualifying BttB match. When asked how he knew this, Pryde brandished the VWAA Championship title for all to see. Pryde then challenged any member of The Faction in the ring to take Manson's place, & it was decided that Mitch Blake would take Ivan's spot. Their match was furious and unpredictable with constant cheat on Blake's behalf. But it was that same cheating that finally cost Blake the match and a spot at BttB.
Ratt J Flywheel was left in the ring after a brawl ensued. He & Studd Muffin bickered back & forth and then from nowhere, Frankie Valiant attacked and choked out Flywheel with Mitch Blake's baseball bat. After Flywheel was out, Studd announced that Ratt & Frankie were the next match for the BttB qualifying match and ordered Steve Cain to ring the bell to start the match. Easily, Frankie pinned Ratt as the bell sounded.
The main event was Machine against new VWAA Circuit Champion Baltazar. It is a rare occasion that Baltazar steps foot in the ring with someone equal to his size & strength and Machine was ready for that fight. The fans were solid for Machine and backed him totally against Baltazar. Move for move, neither man gained enough of an advantage to control the match. Even when Studd Muffin took to his cheating ways, Ratt J Flywheel was there to cut him off, (and even they stood toe to toe.) Finally, Baltazar got a break when Studd had the referee distracted and he was able to clobber Machine with a chain wrapped around his fist numerous times. The blows were enough to weaken the monstrous Machine. Baltazar locked Machine in the Death Coil but Machine refused to tap out. However, Baltazar's positioning and Machine's weakened state finally brought Baltazar his first victory as champion.
