The strange and the odd are common occurrences in professional wrestling and the 7/11 show at The Pyramid Club was no exception!!!
"Too Phat" Jason Dukes vs. "Mr. Electricity" Adam Evans- Dukes broke out the mind games by using his man-boobs to psyche out Evans. A good portion of this match took place out of the ring as the front row tables got involved and Adam Evans got his face rubbed into the bosom of very large woman at ringside. Evans had secured a pin fall victory when Dukes took action. Jason blindsided the referee by striking his back legs lunging in shoulder first and then was able to convince him that Evans did it since referee Nate was extricated from the ring as that happened. Therefore, the decision was reversed and Dukes won via DQ.
Then came time for my interview segment with Outlaw Shy. The purpose of this time was to inform him that he will be receiving a WAR heavyweight title shot August 8th vs. whoever came out with the belt in Rockett/Boz 2 later on. The ghost dancer was indeed pleased with my announcement as he proceeded to
expound about how it was 10 years in the making to get a title
shot and his utmost respect for WAR Champion Marshe Rockett. The feelings Rockett had for Shy were mutual except for simple fact that Shy was coming to get his belt.
Brandon Blaze (w/P.L. Myers) vs. "The Sure Thing" Gavin Dunn- Referee Nate took some bumps in this match as Dunn used Nate as a battering ram ala The Sheepherders. However, Blaze came
out on top of this one via pin fall.
Prior to the next match for the WAR Tag-Team Championship, I had to make the announcements that Steve Boz had left the building for an undisclosed reason and if he didn't make it back, the winner of the Wings of WAR Championship match (Thunderfoot/Prince Ali) would get to challenge for the heavyweight title, replacing Boz. Also, I had to make the announcement that Remi Rainz wasn't in the building tonight as it was later declared by Rudo Cortez that Remi was in Miami, Fla due to his father's open-heart surgery.
WAR Tag-Team Championship (1 on 1) - "The Suicide King" Nickie Sixx shocked the crowd at the outset as he led The War Machine to the ring. He announced that he bought the services of the War Machine as his partner "Urban Beast" Dameon Dunn was unavailable. Rudo Cortez of Los Mexicanos made his way to the ring with both tag title straps. Rudo explained about Remi's situation after getting a hard time from Nickie Sixx about showing up solo. After taking the mic from Rudo, Nickie boasted about how nobody can beat The Suicide Kings which drew the ire of The Chicago Syndicate as "Acumen" Austin Roberts & Derek Durton came down to confront Sixx. After Nickie was able to cool down the tension he had with the Syndicate, The War Machine (representing The Chicago Suicide Kings) would be the one who wrestled for the tag straps as Rudo Cortez decided to keep it as a title match. In a hard fought bought, Nickie Sixx ultimately got involved and The War Machine was disqualified. Nickie Sixx & The War Machine double-teamed until Tony Rican & Gavin Dunn ultimately broke it up. Los Mexicanos still the champs.
Wings of War: Prince Mustafa Ali (c) w/Minister Red & Minister T vs. "The Arapaho Warrior" Thunderfoot- In a match that featured some impressive aerial maneuvers, Minister T broke up an impressive match to prevent Prince Ali from suffering the fall. Then a three on one attack ensued until Marshe Rockett & Outlaw Shy came to the rescue when all of the sudden, Roberts & Durton interjected themselves in the scene. Marshe ended up hitting stunner's left and right on everybody. "Acumen" Austin Roberts was one of the first to receive one but after recovering as Marshe "went to town," Roberts reentered the ring and gave Rockett a chop block injuring his left knee. The Syndicate took control of the situation until The Butcher ran out which he was able to end the fray. Thunderfoot gets the title shot if Boz is a no show.
"The Drunken One" Chase Michaels (w/P.L. Myers) vs. Dave Rydell- Just as the last show at The Pyramid Club, Chase was letting beer flow as it was wet and wild even before Dave Rydell's music came on. The difference this time is that P.L. Myers was along for the ride as The Drunken One's new manager. The size and strength was too overwhelming for Rydell. Michaels by pinfall.
"Handsome" Milo Cash vs. "Latin Lover" Tony Rican- In a night of twists and turns, Stan Pain came down to the ring as he was happy man as the manager was reunited with Milo. Cash wasn't having all that much of a problem with Rican but Cash lost focus by pulling up his opponent before potiential three counts. Milo went on to get disqualified as Milo wants a rematch which is likely to happen August 8th.
The Chicago Syndicate (Derek Durton & "Acumen" Austin Roberts) vs. Outlaw Shy & PCW Champion The Butcher- This was the closest thing to an upset that there was the whole night as Shy was able to get the 1-2-3 on Durton. Prior to the match, I had a run-in with the Syndicate after I had announced that it would be Thunderfoot replacing Steve Boz in the main event. Roberts made me announce that Boz will be in the building.
WAR Heavyweight Championship- I made the announcement of The WAR Heavyweight Championship but still there was no word that Boz made it back to the building. After a delay of about a half minute, Thunderfoot's entrance music came on as he assumed the right to the title match. As The Arapaho Warrior was making his way down the isle, he was attacked by Austin Roberts. WAR Champion Marshe Rockett was on his way to help Thunderfoot but he was attacked from behind by.........STEVE BOZ!!! Marshe was already less than 100% and then he was at a real psychological disadvantage as now he would face a man he didn't believe he would have to face. Marshe gave it everything he had but ultimately by submission, Steve Boz became the new WAR Champion despite Outlaw Shy coming to ringside to encourage Marshe and holding off the rest of The Syndicate.
WAR returns to The Pyramid Club August 8th with likely a 8:30 start time once again!!!
