And nobody on the side where Ryan did the dive. The rest of the crowd were seated in 2 rows on the far side. Shenanigans!

Admission goes up. Is it due to battle of skinny fat kids or Bull Dempsey? While we are at it, why are there palmm trees?

Joey Ryan has appeared in the Chicago area a few times over the past few years, even with ESPN coverage I doubt he moves the needle much with wrestling fans. The kid that uses the hoverboard in matches at AAW was on FS1 and he's not a household name so getting national coverage doesn't turn people into instant stars.

I beg to differ. DDS vs Mojo McQueen was long and drawn out, mainly due to DDS trying to be old school and draw heat by yelling at the crowd various times. I enjoy what I have seen from Underground. I appreciate the unique roster. I have to disagree with your assessment of DDS. He's not athletic, his punches look weak and his attempt to mask his lack of wrestling skill by "being old school" does not work. Listen to the crowd during his match with Mojo, they literally fell asleep untill the 3 count.

Many of today's fans do realize how wrestling has origins in the carnival world. However most fans are smartened up and calling something "carny" is meant as an insult. Holding bogus charity shows, advertising talent that was never booked, bait and switch : Joe Cena or fake mankinds and kanes or never sending merchandise or tickets to shows that were never going to happen, it's all carny. I stopped supporting a promotion that had suberb talent but the promoter started pulling more and more carny crap. So if this promotion is pulling carny antics with this talent roster ( the same set of guys that appear on nearly all local shows that get sh*t on)i'm definitely staying clear.

Bad wrestling and carny behavior is exactly what chicago wrestling does NOT need. People like this should NOT be wished well.

Good call. The roster is made of up typical local indy guys, the usual suspects ( guys that are on 8 different local rosters) and the remaining non entertaining part of LWF's roster during it's last gasp, death throes shows.

Or you could not watch Keith Walker matches and just look up Misawa or UWFI or Takada or Kawada or Kobiyashi Exactly. I did mention trying to find matches from Japan or to watch indy guys that had actually worked in Japan, not to watch guys doing their impersonation of Japanese strong style or anybody trying to wrestle like Taz

Lol. Okay. I totally see Cordova using martial arts strikes and submission wrestling with an empahsis on "fighting spirit" and perseverance. You do realize "strong style" is not about stiff strikes and head dropping suplexes, right? Stiff strikes and head dropping suplexes? You've clearly not seen Cordova work. He reminds of Taz which describes stiff strikes and suplexes Stiff strikes and suplexes are NOT strong style wrestling. That is the uneducated misconception of americans. Strong style is more mma based with realistic strikes and submissions..with the empasis on one's fighting spirit and the ability to persevere. You would be better suited watching matches from Japan or guys that actually wrestled in Japn like Keith Walker, Joe Doering and Chris Hero to understand strong style rather than categorizing how Taz wrestled as strong style.

What's Bailey Mannix up to? Sad part: Mannix was the Shawn Michaels of that team, what personality and ability the team had left with him.
