What a fun show! Thanks to Powerhouse for providing such a good evening's entertainment. I thought all of the matches were good, but my favorites were Grimley/Amani and Renolds/Rican. Can't argue with anyone's pick for Match of the Night, though.
I'm looking forward to seeing Dr. Lyle back in the ring again.

I know that I had a great time at the show. Can't wait for September. I just hope that the "Old Timer" has better luck inside the cage than the last time he was in the Powerhouse cage against Dr. Lyle.

Hayze could probably spell the alphabet using the letters of all the feds who've fired him. If he could spell, that is. Starman has spoken.

While I do hope they have a show, I find it interesting that when I type in the web address, I'm sent to a parked site. That's not too promising.

I think that Tobi just didn't want to get his butt kicked. Starman has spoken.

My first Powerhouse show was in 2000. I usually have a great time at their productions. I hope that you enjoy your first show and come to many more events.

Good point, but I figure that's Dr. Tim and Tobi's concern, not mine. To be honest, I don't even know the guy, but if the weather is o.k., I'm going to make the three hour trip just to see the Powerhouse group. Seeing a ROH champ is an added bonus. I can't wait to see Tobi get his butt kicked! Starman has spoken.

That TBA is one tough guy! My favorite TBA story--and it is totally true. Back in the late 90's Mike Bonomo ran a couple of shows at an indoor soccer facility in Merrillville, Indiana. On the program for the first show, one tag team was listed as we'll say, C. M. Punk and TBA. They and the other team never really were introduced to the crowd during the show because the action started before the announcer could name the teams, so folks didn't know who TBA was (Ace Steele). The next show Steele comes out and people are chanting "TBA, TBA, TBA." I actually think that some fans thought that was his wrestling name. Starman has spoken.

If it's National Popcorn Day, shouldn't the show be in Valpo? Orville would want it that way. ;D
Anyway, congrats on making it two years.

When I think of Eric Freedom, I think of the time several years ago when the Iron Sheik put Freedom in the camel clutch in Streator. Freedom was one of the most hated workers in Powerhouse's stable at the time.
Then I think of the CCW show in Woodstock when he won the title from Forsaken. He was so over with the crowd that it was deafening that night.
To me, that shows that Eric understands his role as either a heel or a face quite well. I've always enjoyed his work and feel lucky to be able to travel to Michigan to see the shows his group puts on there as well as being able to count Eric as a friend.
No wrestler is everyone's cup of tea, but I do enjoy watching him work.

I hate it when no talent owner/promoters book themselves in the main event.

Tobi, I just wish you were wrestling Skip. It would be a classic.

Fortunately for me, some of the ARW wrestlers send out myspace bulletins to people on their friends list. That's usually how I first hear about their shows. The link I have to a website still says something about a July show, I think. I truly do enjoy their shows and can't wait for next weekend. As to the strip joint on Ripley, I once attended a wrestling show that was held in its parking lot--possibly the summer of 2000 or 2001. Plus, I had the honor of sitting next to the world hated Pledge Jones that day. It truly was a memorable day. Sorry the Trevor matches didn't work out. I'll bet "Hey, buddy" hasn't been said that much in Lake Station in a long time. Starman has spoken.

Whatever happened to the best two out of three matches between Dave Allen and Trevor Blanchard? I was at the first one, and haven't heard of any more matches between the two. Add this to the directions--if you get to the strip joint on Ripley, you have gone too far! Starman has spoken.
