From what I understand there will be a Lucha Show that night. No, the NWA won't be involved, and the NWA Title can't be defended without my permission which would cost them a whole lot of money. One of the NWA's attorney's will be in attendance to be sure there's no nonsense with our title. We defend our titles, and rights vigorously. I do believe Demon is on the show though so there's the silver lining for the fans

WOW!!! But Mr Chuman, why would it matter if he defended the NWA title, and went over and kept it? Seriously, is the NWA that important in the world of pro wrestling these days, I mean christ there are 3 or 4 NWA Wisconsin groups alone. I mean if guys like Mike Rapada and Blue Demon can buy the title, shouldnt they be able to defend when ever they want?

I think they are trying to rebuild the importance of it. That is why all title matches must be approved by the board of directors.

the importance of it? Then guys should not be able to "BUY" the title. NWA is dead RIP years ago. I understand how important the NWA was, but it doesnt matter anymore, its kinda like the AWA when Dale Ganger ran it... there just 3 letters now, that means nothing. Maybe when the NWA gets back on the superstation at 8:05 on saturday, then it will mean something but right now, its just another indy

Excuse me indyfan101, but they did not BUY the title. Don't know where your info comes from, but it's false. The NWA belt is the property of Pro Wrestling Organization LLC. You are entitled to your opinion about us, but get your facts straight before you open your mouth. Every champion has a deal with the NWA regarding defending the belt, and on his pay for doing so. It's our exclusive property period. Yes, the NWA has allowed, and I have allowed title defenses in non NWA promotions. We do it all the time, but I won't do it in the case, and my reasons are my own. Get it?

Oh as far as the 4 WI groups they all recognize the same NWA Champions.

So then Mr Chuman, why did Mike Rapada hold the NWA World Title?? Its not like he was a good worker or a draw.

yes Mike Rapada...one of the men, that bought the NWA title. Ed Chuman, answer me that question. Also NWA is trying to get bigger, and rekindle its name. How does having Blue Demon as champion do that? Besides the coke sponsership, what does it do for the NWA name?

And Joey..... the fake Sheik you manage, thats is just sad... I know he say he got premission to be the sheik, but Chris Sader got premission too. Albeit the fake Sheik, is away better worker, but its just a rip off gimmick, like Doink or Golga

How does having Blue Demon as champion do that? Besides the coke sponsership, what does it do for the NWA name? As for Blue Demon Jr being champion IT DOES ALOT for the NWA title. Hell he and Blue Panther got thunderous applause once at the Congress Theater when both put on a wrestling clinic. Demon Jr was trained by Blue Demon Sr who was a MASTER mat wrestler and thankfully Junior retained alot of his predecessor's mat game. One could argue that perhaps Blue Demon Jr isn't the BIGGEST name in terms of drawing power but the guy can take any wrestler to school and then some. Having Demon Jr as the champion bolsters the image of NWA as a wrestling first type of promotion. Nowadays that's refreshing when you consider alot of wrestling "champions" couldn't tell the difference from a wristlock and a wristwatch to quote the legendary Gorilla Monsoon.

I wasn't under the impression that you could buy an NWA World Title run. Man, I could have done that.
Mr. Rapada's championship reign wasn't the best moment in the history of the Alliance, but there have been worse.

As far as Mike Rapada goes he was a fair wrestler in my book. Not a great wrestler. At that time the NWA was just starting to rebuild. With regards to the Blue Demon Jr he is an International star that lends great presence & credibility to the NWA title. The 1st Mexican & masked wrestler to ever hold the title. Even a company as large & diverse as Coca Cola saw the value of having a star like Demon associated with their brand. As for your comments regarding the Sheik you have a right to your opinion. Though you should understand that most fans have never seen a man like The Sheik in action live & in person. Along with what he brings to the table in terms of talent, and ability to draw heat & money. But you have yet to answer my question. Where did you hear that either of these people bought the title? What are your factual sources? If you have none then shut the f&%k up about things you know nothing about, or state your facts. Pick one.

Mr Chuman, The Mike Rapada buying the NWA Title rumor has been around for awhile anow, and that is the only reason I think someone like Rapada would have the title. and The Blue Demon thing, who dont get me wrong a wonderful worker, I'm not taking anything away from him, but he's the champion and Coca Cola is a sponser of the NWA Tv show...that seems a bit iffy dont ya think. to be honest with you, I dont know who else you could put the NWA title right now, there are no big indy stars, or anyone who could carry the company. Rasche and Keith, could be the next Road Warriors, if pushed correctly, and had some more TV behind them.
As for the "Sheik", if he's drawing money, thats all that matters frankly. and if he is drawing money, well he's better then Mike Rapada then
