How are these shows drawing in Iowa so far? Not trying to stir a pot, just being nosey.

Their September event drew a little over 40. Their October event drew around 25.

I kinda sorta miss how wrestling in Iowa used to be. Yeah..SCW wasn't exactly the greatest. But..the shows were still good times. I think facts need to be faced..Iowa wrestling scene is dead...25 fans? C'mon..

If you miss the Iowa wrestling scene, and you say SCW wasn't the greatest, then why aren't you going to AAW shows? AAW shows are better than SCW shows, they are bringing in top talent, and with due time and maybe a better building AAW in the QC will be a success.

Ya ever stop and think that the Iowa wrestling fans don't give two shits about "huge talent?" We're simple folk..we liked our hometown heroes. And I dont even want to hear your excuse "Well AAW brings in so-and-so from Iowa." If it were the same..I wouldn't be bitchin' about it, now would I?

Our iowa shows are a work in progress. We're taking different avenues in advertising for this show. We fully believe that the quad city shows will become just as successful as our Berwyn shows.

Hey, Z-z-z-zombie, I'm still there, y'know! Plus a lot of other guys. Shane Hollister, Marek Brave, Tyler Black, and myself have been a part of the 'Iowa wrestling scene' since... well, since SCW started it, really. Outta curiousity, who is it you're missing? Who, or what, is missing from AAW's shows, that makes you not go?

Other feds have tried and have eventually given up on the Iowa experiment. If your fed is coming from Chicagoland and your draw is 75 people, you might as well stay home and flush a few hundred bucks down the toilet and save the time and grief.

I said if it were the same..I wouldn't be bitching, didn't I? AAW in Iowa is not the same as SCW used to be. Plain and simple.
You can try to swing my vote..but it aint gonna work. Best of luck to AAW in the QC...sort of.

Much like AAW Staff stated, The Quad Cities is a project, that in time should be successful. Much like in Berwyn, a good mix of local and outside talent is brought in.
I would put last months show up against 95% of the shows in the area, as far as in ring quality goes. Obviously, the powers that be in AAW knew what they were getting themselves into, and they are in it for the long haul. Unlike other companies who start in the area, and then disappear the minute they aren't successful. AAW has a long term plan for success in this area, that I can assure you of.
