DREAMWAVE "Road to ANNIVERSARY" 3/6 with "Eugene"

The TV Spot for DREAMWAVE "Road to ANNIVERSARY" (March 6th, 2010) that began airing last night throughout LaSalle and Bureau counties:

During his eight month title reign, "Silent Intensity" Austin Roberts
has faced diversity more times than one could count. He has faced
what appeared to be insurmountable odds time after time, only to rise
above the adversity and reign supreme as the DREAMWAVE World Champion.
At "Road to ANNIVERSARY" on March 6th, 2010, Austin Roberts has to face
a challenger unlike he has ever faced before, Luther.

Austin Roberts thought he was having a bad night when his sometimes
tag team partner, and best friend, Steve Boz won the Lethal Lottery at
"Season Premiere" on February 6th. When Roberts and Boz (collectively
known as Super Intense), faced off in the ring, many fans weren't sure
how to react to two of their favorite DREAMWAVE stars being forced to
do battle with one another. While many speculated what the outcome of
such an unlikely epic match between two friends would be, the world
may never know. Just as the match was building between the two,
Luther and "Handler" interjected themselves and attacked Roberts.
Fed up with Luther's blatant disregard (or lack of understanding) of
the rules, DREAMWAVE President, JC Costilli, came to ringside and made
a brash decision to make the World Title match for March 6th of Austin
Roberts vs Luther.

Some sources in the locker room have said that Austin Roberts demeanor
has changed sligthly as of late. There have been rumblings in the
locker room that the pressure of being the World Champion may be
getting to Austin. There is no denying that while being the World
Champion comes with a lot of financial perks, the respect of your
peers, and a certain amount of status, it is emotionally taxing. It
could be the combination of a long war with Prince Ali, having to
wrestle his best friend Steve Boz, and the stress of being attacked by
the monsterous, Luther that has left Roberts an exhausted man.

One thing is for certain, while he may be wearing down physically and
emotionally, mentally Roberts must stay sharp. One can only assume
that a monster such as Luther, has no emotions to deal with when
preparing for battle. Luther has proven time and again that he is
just an empty shell of a man. The best we can tell, Luther's lone
motivation for combat is his Handler, that literally leads him around
by a chain.

On March 6th at "Road to ANNIVERSARY", Austin Roberts faces his
biggest challenge ever. A monster devoid of emotion, and perhaps even
independent thought. Luther will stop at nothing to take the one
thing that means everything in the world to Roberts, The DREAMWAVE World Championship.

For the first time in his lengthy title reign, Austin Roberts won't
face a challenger for the World Title. He faces a monster with
nothing to lose and the "World" to gain.

Austin Roberts attempts to defend the DREAMWAVE World Championship for
the ninth time at "Road to ANNIVERSARY" on March 6th, 2010 against Luther.

William Shakespeare coined the phrase "heavy is the head that wears the crown". It is lonely at the top, and after winning the "Good as Gold" Briefcase by defeating The B-O-Z at "Season Premiere", Nick Brubaker is heading down that path. The A-List has been the most dominant group on the Midwest indy scene since debuting in DREAMWAVE 6 months ago. The A-List, like any other group, has always been better because of the sum of its parts. Nick Brubaker has done anything and everything to gain and retain his championship. Ryland Foxx, Hollywood Hades, Nikki and even former DREAMWAVE star Juice Robinson have all taken part in Brubaker's elaborate plan for the A-List to take over DREAMWAVE Wrestling. He has defeated Egotistico Fantastico, Steve Boz, GT Vega, and "Mr. 450" Hammett among others. That being said, Brubaker has only one loss in DREAMWAVE, to the World Champion, Austin Roberts (at "Open Roads, Broken Dreams" on May 2nd, 2009). Being the most "golden" superstar in DREAMWAVE may be beginning to play mind games with the Alternative Champion.

Nick Brubaker is starting to isolate himself and becoming distracted by focusing solely on becoming the World Champion. Despite all his success in DREAMWAVE, the loss to Roberts in May 2009 has been eating away at Brubaker ever since. Owning the "Good as Gold" Briefcase, contemplating his shot at immortality, as well as keeping an eye on all the challengers lining up for his Alternative Title is definitely building up the pressure on the champ.

No better example of this exists than his match at "Road to Anniversary" on March 6th with newcomer Gilbert Lewis. For the first time since winning the title, Brubaker refused to sign his contract as a title defense. He claims to have "beaten them all" so anyone wanting a shot at the Alternative Title will need to prove their worth. That challenger will be decided with the four way #1 contender match at "Road to Anniversary".

Gilbert Lewis made his debut last month at "Season Premiere" and gave Prince Mustafa Ali a run for his money. The fans of DREAMWAVE were quickly enamored with the quirky Lewis and will definitely be behind him in his match with "Next" Nick Brubaker. The A-List is arguably the most disliked group of stars in DREAMWAVE so Lewis will have the fan's support and they would like nothing more than for him to knock off the distracted Brubaker.

Will The A-list continue to dominate or will Gilbert Lewis trade in his pocker protector for a victory on March 6th??
