Phoenix, who was the third guy in the opening match with Texas Pete and "Bull" Don Basher?

From their "mutual admiration" posts, it's diffcult to ascertain whether Mr. Phoenix or anchov is using more Chapstick.
But on to more important matters. It is a beautiful thing when a carefully crafted plan works to perfection, and such was the case on 1/23/10 at the Stratford when OUR CLPW CHAMP's
"Plan 11 from Outer Space" earned him a successful title defense. Of course, the main ingredient of "Plan 11" was the same as "Plan 10's": OUR CLPW CHAMP gave Mr. Boz a wrestling lesson inside the squared circle. Beyond that, was Mr. Roberts offered more inducements to stay away that night by Team Double-G than he was offered by the rogue elements inside the CLPW office to help screw THE CHAMP out of his title? The answer to that question will only be revealed someday in THE CHAMP's sure-to-be best-selling memoirs.
In any event, none of THE CHAMP's detractors, inside or outside the CLPW office, had an inkling that he would align himself with one of the most brilliant minds in the wrestling business, Mr. Marco Polo, to watch his back and foil any shenanigans attempted by the CLPW office cabal. Mr. Polo performed his duties brilliantly, and he richly deserved the special toast and private barrel of Romulan ale he received at THE CHAMP's gala victory party (on an undisclosed planet).
It will not undermine sales of THE CHAMP's memoirs to reveal that I played a small role in "Plan 11." My announcement that the entire membership of THE CHAMP's fan club from planet Capella IV would be attending the show was a ruse to divert attention of the CLPW office conspirators from planning additional machinations against THE CHAMP to providing adequate seating for thousands of extraterrestrial visitors. Rest assured that the aforementioned fan club membership did watch THE CHAMP's magnificient win at the victory party , thanks to the latest in Vulcan mind-meld technology tapping into my precise recollections of the title match.
In the end, "Plan 11" worked so well that Mr. Boz got frustrated, lost his composure, and
tried to use Mr. Polo's mallet to clobber THE CHAMP after the ref, Mr. Cain, was temporarily incapacitated. But Mr. Polo alerted the ref in the proverbial nick (pun partially intended) of time, and Mr. Cain did what was required: DQing Mr. Boz for introducing an illegal foreign object into the match. The subsequent looks of shock and bewilderment on the faces of THE CHAMP's detractors sitting to my right were almost as delectable as the gourmet menu at the subsequent victory party.
Another personal highlight occurred soon thereafter, when the courageous young lady, who held the American flag during the pre-show playing of the national anthem, absolutely beamed when THE CHAMP autographed her Double-G t-shirt. This touching moment demonstrated once again that OUR CLPW CHAMP is adored by children throughout the solar system to an extent that would make Rey Mysterio envious.
A message to those, both inside and outside the CLPW office, who continue to disrespect THE CHAMP: be advised that he is already devising "Plan 12 from Outer Space" to guarantee his next title defense will be successful whatever obstacles are put in his path.
In closing, let me say the following to some specific detractors of OUR CLPW CHAMP:
To Mr. Boz's cookie supplier -- it should be obvious the aroma of your treats causes Mr. Boz to lose his focus inside the ring. Therefore, before the next CLPW show I suggest you turn over
your supply of cookies to me for use at THE CHAMP's next victory party. Towards that end, 500 dozen cookies should be sufficient.
To Mr. Phoenix -- cease and desist your complicity in the efforts to undermine OUR CLPW CHAMP, especially those intended to sew dissension within Team Double-G. They are doomed to fail, and the resulting stress will only cost you more hairs on your head. (A membership in the Hair Club for Men is expensive!)
And finally to anchov -- I almost feel sorry you did not get to sample the scumptious pizza rolls imported from the planet Kelva for THE CHAMP's victory party, and you did not get to witness Mr. Polo delight the exclusive, VIP, invitation-only guests with his karaoke performance, backed by a chorus of lovely maidens from planet Gallos II. Showing himself to be a gracious sportsman, THE CHAMP sought you out to shake your blue-Sharpie-stained hand before he departed the Stratford. If you reciprocate by abandoning your mindless prejudice against masked wrestling legends, I guarantee I will put your name on the waiting list for THE CHAMP's next victory party.

Mr. Polo made that first point to me before we departed for the victory party. He is a shrewd businessman, and I look forward to speaking more with him in the future about my investment portfolio.
As for the second point, since OUR CLPW CHAMP was the intended victim, I should have used the term: inter-planetary object.

I was certainly surprised to read the name of Don Basher in the results. I used to mark out for him so much when I lived in west-central Indiana and attended shows he was on. I'm glad to hear that he's still working.

Yes, the young lady at ringside was very courageous and did an outstanding job as the flag bearer. By the time you even mentioned her, you had rambled on so much about nothing that I got a headache and probably missed the part about her. That young lady is what makes the CLPW Village grow with heart-n-soul.

Yes, I didn't know all the names. Howie, I didn't see you even attempt to make a results page. You'd probably forget your own name.
