I was in the same room when Morty had what approximates to an epilectic panic spasm, when he saw a manager smoking a cigar as a gimmick and was SURE it was pot.

Morty doesn't have much in the way of "life experience".

An entire thread can also be devoted to the exploits of a longtime BSW/PHPW standout and employee of the century, Ed Monroe.

Ed came to the company since he promised he had a killer job in TV, which turned out to be the guy who changed the tapes every hour or so. Needless to say, that TV show never panned out (THANK GOD) but "Sweaty Eddie" as he was lovingly called behind his back by the boys, became a BSW mainstay.

Ed was a peculiar man in in early 40's, and loved to dress up in suits a lot.

(MOD EDIT- If you want to bash a promotion or guy *in Da Biz* in particular regarding their in-ring ability, or lack thereof, fire away. If you want to diss their questionable business decisions, go right ahead and do so.

I won't allow insults about a guy's wife and kid on the board. Those opinions are better left expressed through other avenues...emails, PM's or in the locker room. Stay away from the personal life stuff.)

Ed gathered the most odd looking rats in history, one specimen had a body funk so strong that Dino Bambino and I actually changed outside once during a show, since Ed's rat was smelling up the locker room and was wearing a shirt that was not flattering to her almost 300 lb frame. She was also showing her umm lopsided breasts to anyone that would ask, which was not much, but enough for me to catch a unwanted look, which took a half bottle of Jack Daniels to erase that image. When quizzed on where he met this fine woman, he replied they met in a Internet chat room, which ironically started my lifelong oath to never date a woman I met from the Internet.

Ed, for the most part, was a manager, but was also the BSW/PHPW inter-gender champion, meaning he would periodically don the tights, and get beat up by a woman, only to eek out a win. It was a freaky tribute to the late great Andy Kaufman to say the least. It took many beers to erase those abortions of "wrestling matches" from my mind.

On one such occasion, he wrestled the daughterfreind of AWA legend Buck Zumhoffe, while I can neither confirm or deny the rumors, something just was not right with that relationship, but i guess thats for another thread or another time. The match was done as normal, until I watched something that kind of shocked me. Ed backed up Bucks daughter into the corner and began to chop her, although I noticed something a little disturbing.

The chops were about 4MPH, and ended in almost a goosing and grabbing motion, little to no follow through, and each chop was going slower and slower, the follow through less and less.

I watched in horror as he wound up for the final chop, and instead of following through, stopped and physically grabbed her right breast for a good 5 seconds....

Over the years, I've learned that sexual harassment is commonplace in the biz, but I had never seen a full blown sexual assault in the ring. wow.

What makes it worse is that Bucks Daughter was about 16 or 17 at the time.

Ed's kid was 15.

You do the math, he committed what basically was a FELONY right in the middle of the ring.

Thats your PHPW entertainment right there.

Almost every posting on here makes me realize why the world is like it is today... no one cares about someone elses feeling and/or privacy and they have no GOD in their life or they just choose not to use the Lord as their guide. Do unto others as you want done unto you. That is a golden rule... and that doesn't mean the person you are bad mouthing will do the same to you but someone will down the line....

So why don't all the negative, jealous, immature people who've posted ugly crap about anyone just GROW UP and mind your own business and until your lives are perfect Keep you Mouths SHUT!

Sounds like it's one of Morty's looking to get a push so they can hold one of powerhouse's 8 belts! Being the marks they are.

Let's not forget the time Morty berated his locker room because as promoter, it wasn't HIS job to make sure people showed up, but rather THEIR responsibility to dupe their family and friends into witnessing such amateurish, repugnant crap.


Not to mention no matter HOW few people showed up, how few actual workers got paid, and HOW few miles away from their own house that they were, Morty and the Wildebeastian Iron Maiden ALWAYS got a hotel room, wherein sick, sad sexual depravities took place. (and foul smells and stains lingered behind).

In all honesty and fairness, Whiskeyk does bring up a good point. People are people, and people do have their good points. In all fairness, and to keep this as open and honest as possible, I will give some positive Thompson feedback.

Some of Mike Thompsons good points is that he is actually very freindly to a lot of people, and would gladly give the shirt off his back to any freind in need, he has let down on their luck wrestlers stay with him and Robin rent free, I've never seen him be mean to a animal or child, and he is also fiercly loyal to Robin, and has never even so much as looked at another woman, that has got to count for something, I've seen a lot worse behavior from more respected people in this business.

I can also honestly say that from my experiences, he has tried to remain professional, and has not done anything truly slimy to interfere with another persons promotion, unless you count running venues where other promoters have tried and failed. I haven't seen him try to take active buildings away personally, but then again, I was never really close to him, so I can't really say that's a concrete fact.

The only problem that I can see is that he is only freinds with his wrestlers, when has no freinds that I know of outside of the business. When it becomes time to move on, and to get work elsewhere, Mike becomes jealous, and takes it as a personal slight against him and his promotion. He will never forgive that person, even though it's nothing personal against him. I dont know if it comes from low self esteem or envy.

I can remember when I was having a problem with him once after leaving for good. He had one of his freinds call my girlfreind at the time house, and leave a cryptic message saying that my days were numbered, and was coming up to basically do me phyical harm. My Girlfreind called me in a panic, and I came over to listen to the message. The caller ID came from his house.

To make a long story short, my g/f was PISSED to the extent that she wanted to press charges, and had Mike, the person who called, and Robin come up and apoligize to her and myself. They did want the tape, but I refused, and keep it in a little box somewhere just in case.

I think behavior like that is most of the problem. He's like a kid who gets razzed, but instead of rising above it and doing something positive, he reacts like a child and basically takes his ball and goes home. Then says the other kid beat him up. It's this behavior that spawns the stories, and is definitly not living with God's teachings.

Do other people sometimes treat him with no respect, and pull pranks on him? Absolutly, but it's no different then any other walk of life. Part of that is that some people are bullies and love an easy target. That's why rookies are harrased until it can be proven that they are strong enough to take it, as well as dish it out, it's not like we are playing hopscotch or anything.

Whiskey, I do know you personally, and yes I can honestly say you are a great person, and don't desere to be drawn into this, so please everyone treat her with some respect. I can honselty say that the Thompsons wouldn't put her up to posting on the thread, and wouldn't unless she personally felt like she should, she is that cool of a person, despite wrestling for PHPW.

I might write more stories and true life experiences, I might not. If I do, I will leave out and not write about people that I do like that are still there, since some of them are actually cool, what makes it sad is that I can't actually talk to some of them since they would get on the shitlist if Mike ever found out about it. Kinda sad.

For God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believith in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If God himself can forgive mankind, you can forgive people. I forgave you a long time ago, despite you not forgiving anyone. If this is what it takes for you to take a good look at your behavior in the past, and to forgive others who have pained you it's worth it.

After all, we are all just trying to save you.
