If it’s validation ye seek, then ye shall receive.
To all doubters and naysayers in the area, Stan indeed was at Mad Mark’s for the aforementioned ECW PPV. Hopefully with my stamp of confirmation, we can end this destructive conflict, and bring order to Chicago.
I also believe he was at Lemont in December of 1997 for the LWF’s second show. The memory of Broox’s head ricocheting off of that announce table still brings a smile to my face, just as it brought years of agonizing cluster headaches to Broox. After Supreme was cuffed by Lemont police (kudos to the badge holder who whipped out the retractable baton with no urging from us), some woman in the audience was so incensed that she threw a handful of Honeycomb cereal at me. Good times.
But I believe you are mistaken about my presence at an IUWA show, as the only time I came close to attending one of their shows was the evening of the SuperFed press conference. I sank into a profound malaise after that spectacle, brought on by Fonzie asking me out of the blue if I had any Vicodin for Sabu, and the realization that we forgot to teach the SuperFed principals any stick skills.
Perhaps it was MEW in December of 2001?
Anyhoo, it is of little concern to me if you’re actually in contact with Dixie Carter. But you must realize that such a claim indeed sounds outlandish. And although in my opinion, the name “Real Good Wrestling” is as poor as they come, I wish you luck on the show. But to paraphrase Matt Groening, “You do what you do reasonably well. Now you must ask yourself, is it worth doing?”

One of the things I've never cared for in this business over the 16 years I've worked is the politics and over inflated egos of many of the people on the scene. What's more frightening to me is that the egos belong to guys working these small indy promotions, and many of them are backstage guys and ring announcers, not actual wrestlers. To those that may apply to, take it however you want. I will be the referee on that show. I have stayed away from this thread because my main concern is to properly promote the show with listings on both my website & my MySpace. However, I can not stand by why certain elements of the scene attempt to denigrate the efforts of those who have put this show together. I am thrilled to get to work with friends, some of whom I haven't had the chance to work with in awhile, as well as the opportunity to work with a guy who is part of a national company that I feel is a rising star. To attack those involved with the show and who they know or don't know by calling them liars just lowers you personally. I think I have a little more qualification to name call here as I am the business veteran on this board. If you don't respect anyone else involved in this show, you had best respect me & my decision to work it. After 16 years I call my own shots and I don't work with people I don't think are qualified and I don't work with people who feel they can sit around and call names, especially when they don't have the time in the business myself and a lot of the other guys involved putting the show together have. Pay your dues and earn your rights. I am sorry that Diego will not be able to work due to his health. He's a class guy who understands respect and I always enjoy being in the ring with him. I've spoken my peace, I hope those of you who can will come out to the show, I believe your time and effort in attending will be well rewarded. Are you serious? You just posted all of that to stroke your 16 year career ego, but you say others have an ego. That post right there was you marking out for yourself and Petey Williams. I understand you have been doing this a long time, but how many calls do you get a week for bookings? I'm not going to get into it with you Steve because I like you, and I respect the fact that you are a vet. If you want to take offense to a joke, so be it. Have fun on your show, and I hope it draws........but good grief maaaaaan, relax a little

The bikers were at the IUWA show for a fellow wrestler, At the RGW show we don't expect bikers to be there, if they are there we have a number of security around ring side. So feel free to enjoy the show with out worries.

The NWA Midwest Show inHammond tops all That's probably the best non-ROH, non-IWA indie show I've ever seen in the area(*). Too bad so few people were there, but it was a fun time. I'm still waiting for the appearance of Ricky Murdoch. Is that show on DVD? T.G. (*) Granted, we were on a wrestling high after coming straight from the awesome WORD show that afternoon. Also, the first MCW T3 might have been better. Oh, and I guess I shouldnt count lucha shows either, b/c that Bucanero/Guerrero vs Felino/Virus match was awesome.

As for the Aurora/ Naperville area, I can give you my reason why there is no one running there. I'm terrified to run anywhere that is in the Western Subs... You just have too much competition with things to do. I love the Coal City/Morris area, and small towns, because you are bringing them something they have never seen and there is not a lot of competition. There are exactly two movie theatres in a 20 mile radius and one of them has 3 screens. No Putt putt courses, go kart tracks or anything like that. Joliet was very tough to run and our draws would be hit or miss. Basically cause there was so much to do. I guess my final answer would be that I believe you can run a small town where there ain't much to do a lot easier than a big area like naperville.... Yes I agree with that mindset. I mean, as I've mentioned here and elsewhere in the past, the best promotion currently in Florida (Full Impact Pro) used to run in towns like Tampa and Lakeland, which of course are large cities where there are a lot of things to do, and surprise surprise they couldn't draw 100 or even at times 50 people. They turned the corner when they started running in small middle of the boonies towns like Crystal River and Bushnell and Arcadia (where the main entertainment, as far as I can reckon, is watching the bug zapper at work on the front porch; there are hardly any movie theatres or mini golf courses or anything like that nearby for the kids) and now they always draw more than 100 and a few times they've drawn around 500, with a lot of children around.

Nothing for me, NOTHING, will be being at FIP Fallout Night 2.
