FYI: A usually reliable source (except in matters regarding the Sears Centre! LOL) has informed me that in addition to the ROH show, Flair will be appearing at the convention center in Rosemont and will be charging only $49 for an autograph. And Flair has more than one ex-wife to support. Gotta give the Nature Boy a WOOOOOOO! Howie,do you know when this will take place? It must be the annual Sports Collectors show or whatever they call it?

Pete Rose (from whom I got a free autograph when I was a kid -- and then took time to talk baseball with me) and the other sports celebs in attendance will surely "appreciate" taking your cash.

There will be no admittance fee for Thursday at the Sports Collectors Show. The website with all the info and prices is www.mountedmemoriesshows.com Flair will be there on Saturday, July 18th from noon-1:30pm. Any item is $49. For $69, you get a photo with Flair which will be made into an 8x10 and then signed by the Nature Boy. It will also cost $10 to get in.

Those prices spell: APPRECIATION to me.

"Appreciation" wouldn't be the word I'd be thinking about.

They'll appreciate it if the fans want to pay those high fees for their autographs, hence the phrase "Fan Appreciation"

If you haven't seen it yet, my column in today's (7/02) SouthtownStar is on Page 5 of Fifty-Two Weekends, the newspaper's Thursday entertainment magazine, and includes information about Hulk Hogan Fan Appreciation Day at Toyota Park. You can check out the online version of the article at: www.southtownstar.com/entertainment/firstlook/virtusio/1645847,070209ProWrestling.article If you're wondering where you can buy the print edition of the SouthtownStar, you can find retail locations at the below link, which includes spots in Alsip, Beecher, Blue Island, Bridgeview, Burbank, Burr Ridge, Calumet City, Calumet Park, Chicago Heights, Chicago Ridge, Country Club Hills, Crestwood, Crete, Darien, Dolton, Evergreen Park, Flossmoor, Frankfort, Glenwood, Harvey, Hazel Crest, Hickory Hills, Hinsdale, Homer Glen, Hometown, Homewood, Joliet, Justice, Lansing, Lemont, Lockport, Manhattan, Markham, Matteson, Midlothian, Mokena, Monee, New Lenox, Oak Forest, Oak Lawn, Olympia Fields, Orland Park, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park, Park Forest, Peotone, Richton Park, Robbins, Romeoville, Shorewood, South Holland, Steger, Summit, Thornton, Tinley Park, University Park, Willow Springs and Worth. www.southtownstar.com/aboutus/1007978,061608paperboxes.article Other locations where you can find vending boxes can be found at the following link, which includes spots in some of the towns above as well as Crest Hill and Plainfield. www.southtownstar.com/aboutus/1008171,0616vendingboxes.article Also, if you haven't dropped by my blog lately, several CPW members were mentioned in the topic titled "~*~ Thanks for an 'Elaborating on Entertainment' milestone ~*~" at: blogs.southtownstar.com/entertainment/2009/06/-thanks-for-an-elaborating-on.htmlAs always, I welcome comments on the blog, whether it be this topic or others that pique your interest. You can get a full look at all the topics at: blogs.southtownstar.com/entertainment/archives.htmlA few notes about using the "Leave a comment" feature on the blog: -- While there is a field asking you to provide your e-mail address, that e-mail address will not be shown to the public once your comment is posted. -- The grey Captcha box sometimes trips up people because it's hard to see and very particular about the characters being typed in exactly. To be on the safe side, you should copy your text elsewhere before hitting the Submit button in case the Captcha kicks out your comment. -- If you've used the "Leave a comment" feature correctly, you'll get a message saying that your submission is pending approval. Note: I approve all non-spam comments as soon as I see they have been submitted.

I heard a commercial on the radio about this tonight and it was announced as "Windy City Pro Wrestling presents" and of course no prices were mentioned.

Since not everyone who visits this forum can access the members-only Shills forum, here's the skinny on my interview with Hulk Hogan.--- Fans of Hulk Hogan will want to drop by my "Elaborating on Entertainment" blog to check out the topic titled "Pro Wrestling Extra: A conversation with Hulk Hogan" at: blogs.southtownstar.com/entertainment/2009/07/pro-wrestling-extra-a-conversa-3.htmlThere, he discusses what his dream matches would be if he were to get in the ring one more time, what he has to say to those who might think the pricing for Hulk Hogan Fan Appreciation Day is steep, and much more. And, of course, more of my conversation with the Hulkster will be in my pro wrestling column in Thursday's (7/09) Fifty-Two Weekends in the SouthtownStar. While we're talking blogs, if you haven't dropped by my blog lately, several CPW members were mentioned in the topic titled "~*~ Thanks for an 'Elaborating on Entertainment' milestone ~*~" at: blogs.southtownstar.com/entertainment/2009/06/-thanks-for-an-elaborating-on.htmlAs always, I welcome comments on the blog, whether it be these topics or others that pique your interest. So who is taking the place of Al Snow on the Autograph session since apparently he has been removed?
