This show is dedicated to memory of one of my closest friends marking the 2nd anniversary of his passing Chris Candido, and will be an annual show in Chris's honor simply called " No Gimmicks Needed". Originally I was going to be involved in IWA Mid South's Candido Cup, but decided I would leave Ian to honor Chris in his own way. We will do something different. This show we'll crown a new NWA Midwest Heavyweight Champion, and retire Chris's belt. The new champion will receive a brand new belt that Chris would have been proud to wear. Chris, as I was a big Buddy Rogers mark, and the belt reflects the belt Rogers wore as the NWA World Champion. We will debut the belt on the March 24th show. Along with that we plan to have a blowout event. As we approach the date we'll reveal more of the show which will include the 2nd round & finals of the Heavyweight Tournament. We hope to do a show Chris would be proud of. Look for more here, on www.midwestwrestling.com, and our My Space Page. Signed for May 5th in Streamwood International Superstar from New Japan Pro Wrestling NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask defends against TNA's Senshi - Low KI

Has that belt seen action in the US lately? Or has it just been a Japan only title?

The title has been in Japan for about a year. Black Tiger had it, and defended it in the states alot. This is Tiger Mask's 1st tour of the US since winning the belt.

I remember you saying at an IWA show awhile back that Chris Sabin and Jerry Lynn were also penciled in for this show. Is that still a go? Either way Ki vs Tiger mask's a HUGE Main Event!!

So even though NWA and TNA are parting ways as a company, will NWA MW still continue to bring in TNA guys on a regular basis?

Depends. Our focus over the past few shows is to focus less on TNA, and more on guys from our NWA MW Territory which encompasses 6 states. So perhaps we'll do some TNA guys, but not a full card of them, or as many as we were doing several shows back. That ship's sailed.

Cool, I'd like to see some more indy guys that i haven't had the chance to catch.

Rocky Romreo is not Tiger Mask. He did the Black Tiger gimmick for New Japan, but is no longer doing that gimmick. He now works as Rocky Romero only. The ticket prices are the same. $30, $25 & $20
